Bathroom Redo

My husband and I moved into a very old house about four years ago and it has taken us about four years to rehab the inside.

The main bathroom was the final redo of our house and we decided to have fun with it and go a little different than what we did with the rest of our house.  Being an old house we decided to keep with the history of the house and use a claw foot tub.  When we moved in this bathroom use to be a porch and had been made into a handicap bathroom.

The tiles were cracked and the floor was uneven from the foundation settling over time.  We started with tearing everything out from one whole wall and the complete floor all the way to the ground outside.  My husband created a sub-floor which it did not have to begin with and insulated the pipes, leveled the floor and the foundation and re-built the wall that had to be torn out.
I wanted a bright cheery room and choose smiley face yellow.  Unfortunately it ended up looking like a tennis ball and once again, as he had to do in every other room in the house (oops), I decided it was terrible and had him repaint it the color I was originally going for.

He tiled the floor and wall around where we planned on putting the tub and the best part was we found a cool old farm house sink and hutch at Habitat for Humanity and re-purposed them into a vanity sink.

I am very happy with the finished project.  Although I helped with the ideas my husband was the builder and did an outstanding job at creating this space.
